For almost 110 years, the Noorderkerk is present in the Duinoord quarter in the Schuytstraat. The church takes a modest place, adjacent to the other buildings. But from various places the distinctive tower is visible.

The church designed by architect J.C. Wentink belongs to the quater. Not for nothing, the building in 1985 was pointed as a municipal monument. The rich history, the beautiful acoustics, the romantic organ, all reasons to maintain the Noorderkerk.

In the spring of 1998 the “Friends of the Noorderkerk” was founded. In its objective is the promotion and preservation of the Noorderkerk in the Schuytstraat and the Christian community based in the church.
